Removal and installation of a brake drum
Removal and installation of the brake drum is carried out according to the instructions in the section «Rear suspension».
Removal and installation of the wheel cylinder
Remove the brake drum and brake pads. Disconnect the hose from the wheel cylinder. Unscrew the two bolts securing the cylinder on the back of the brake shield and remove the wheel cylinder.
Dismantling and assembly of the wheel cylinder
Remove two protective caps 4 (pic. 6.11) with pistons 5 from cylinder 3 and separate the protective caps from the pistons.

Remove cuffs 6 and remove spring 7. Unscrew bleed valve 2. Check the technical condition of the wheel cylinder and wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth soaked in brake fluid, alcohol or methyl. Put protective caps on the pistons. Install a piston with a protective cap into the cylinder, insert a new cuff, a spring, a second new cuff on the opposite side of the cylinder (the concave side of the cuffs faces the spring). Install the second piston with a protective cap, wrap the bleeder screw.
