Replacing the brake pads of the rear wheel

Raise the rear of the car on stands and remove the wheel from the desired side. Make sure the parking brake is not applied. Remove the hub cap, remove the cotter pin, unscrew the lock washer and the hub nut (rice. 4.12). Remove puck. the outer bearing of the hub and pull the brake drum-hub off the trunnion. Remove clamping device 10 (rice. 6.2) front shoe, turn it up and out and remove it from the brake shield support. Remove the front shoe and return springs.

Remove the clamping device of the rear pad and remove it from the support of the brake shield. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the rear shoe. Disconnect the expansion bar from the rear shoe. Install the spring 13 and expander plate 7 on the rear shoe.

Install the assembled block on the brake shield support by attaching the parking brake cable. Install the lower return spring and both springs on the auto lash adjustment lever. Install the front shoe, winding it perpendicular to the brake shield. Install the pad clamps. Install the brake drum-hub on the trunnion as described in section 4 «Chassis».
