Contact gap adjustment

Connect the cam angle tester according to the manufacturer's instructions. Measure the cam angle at idle and at a crankshaft speed of 2000 rpm, which should be within 48-52°Stop the engine, remove the cover and distributor rotor. With the ignition on. cranking the crankshaft with a starter, adjust the gap between the contacts. Check adjustment at 2000 rpm.

NOTE: As a temporary measure, the contact gap can be adjusted with a feeler gauge. The cam angle should be measured as soon as possible.
