Removal and installation of a screen wiper

Remove the brushes and leashes and disconnect the battery. Remove the caps of the nuts securing the axles of the drivers, unscrew the nuts and remove the washers and spacers. Disconnect the electric motor connector, unscrew the two bolts securing the gearmotor plate (pic. 7.74) and remove the plate assembly with the gearmotor and drive.



Remove the spacers from the drive axles of the leashes and fix the gearmotor in a vice, with the levers up. Unscrew the nut and remove the drive lever 3 (rice. 7.72). Unscrew the three bolts securing the gearmotor to the plate and remove it.

Before installing the wiper, set the axis of the gearmotor to the non-working position. Insert the axis of the gearmotor into the hole in the plate and fix the gearmotor with three bolts. Install drive lever 3 and secure it with a nut. Install spacer bushings on the axis of the leashes and fix the plate with the gearmotor and drive on the car with two bolts. Install the spacers, washers, tighten the nuts and attach the gearmotor connector block. Connect the battery, install the leashes and brushes and check the operation of the wiper.
