Starter device (Electrical equipment / Starting and charging system / Ford Escort 3 1980-1985)

The vehicles are equipped with a Lucas, Bosch or Nippondenso brand starter with a four-pole DC motor with series excitation and an electromagnetic traction relay (pic. 7.16—7.18). The armature shaft rotates in self-lubricating bushings, the direction of rotation is clockwise when viewed from the drive end.
