Removal and installation of a radiator

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and drain the liquid from the cooling system. Disconnect the upper hose from the radiator. For engines of models JPA, LPA, LUA, LRA and L7, disconnect the hose from the radiator connecting it to the expansion tank. Disconnect the electric fan connector. Loosen the two radiator mounting bolts and remove the radiator 1 (fig 2.63), guide casing 3 and electric fan 4 as an assembly.

Disconnect the shroud and electric fan from the radiator. Before installing the radiator, check the condition of the radiator itself, hoses and rubber pads of the radiator. Fix the casing and the electric fan on the radiator. Install the radiator with the casing and the electric fan on the lower cross member 2 and fix its upper part with two bolts.

Connect the electric fan connector. Connect the lower radiator hose and, for JPA, LPA, LUA, LRA and L7 engines, the hose to the expansion tank. Connect the top hose and fill the system with coolant. Start the engine and check for leaks from the cooling system.
