Fuel tank

The fuel tank is stamped from steel sheet and mounted under the body floor in front of the rear suspension. Fuel tank capacity 34 liters for cars with GLA engine, 40 liters for cars with other engines (48 l from May 1983).

The fuel used is gasoline with an octane rating of at least 85 for the GMA engine, 95 for other engines. When the remaining fuel is 8 liters, the control lamp lights up in the instrument cluster.
