Subcompact cars Ford family «Escort» And «Orion» Issues 1980-1985 completed with bodies, engines and gearboxes of various types and models.

Model «Escort» was produced with three- and five-door hatchback and station wagon bodies, with coupe and convertible bodies and in a cargo-passenger version, and the model «Orion» - with a sedan body. The family of engines installed on these vehicles is also numerous: GMA, GPA, GLA models with a working volume of 1117 cm³, JPA model - 1296 cm³, LPA, LUA models - 1597 cm³, models LRA, L7 - 1596 cm³. Four- and five-speed manual gearboxes were installed on these cars, and automatic gearboxes were installed on some cars. The total number of modifications exceeds thirty, the main technical characteristics of which are given in the following tables.
