The automatic transmission has three forward gears and one reverse gear with limited torque converter slip depending on the gear selected. To engage the reverse gear of the manual gearbox, you must first press the gear lever and. while holding it down, move it to the position «AR» (see fig. 7). The main gear is cylindrical, helical. The differential is conical, two-satellite.
Oil level in manual gearbox
ATTENTION: There is no oil change in the gearbox, and there is no drain hole on the gearbox housing.
The oil level is checked and, if necessary, topped up every 10,000 km. The operation is carried out on a horizontal platform through the filler hole after a few minutes after the engine has stopped. Normal oil level: up to the edge of the filler hole.
NOTE: Before screwing the plug into the hole, it is necessary to carefully clean the mating surfaces of the plug and crankcase from dirt (see fig. 8).
Wheel drive shafts
Front wheel drive by shafts with constant velocity joints. Every 10,000 km of run, check the tightness and fastening of the covers of the drive shaft hinges.
