Oil pressure check

1. Warm up the engine to 80°C and check the oil level.

2. Unscrew the oil pressure sensor. On the OHV engine, the oil pressure sensor is located above the oil pump, on the CVH engine, to the right of the oil filter, and on the diesel engine, to the left of the fuel filter.

3. Screw in a pressure gauge with adapter instead of the oil pressure sensor.

4. Start the engine and measure the oil pressure while the engine is idling. The pressure value should be: 0.6 kg/cm2 (OHV), 1.0 kg/cm2 (CVH) and 1.3 kg/cm2 (diesel engine).

5. Increase the speed to 2000 rpm and measure the oil pressure again. The pressure value should be: 1.5 kg/cm2 (OHV), 2.8 kg/cm2 (CVH) and 3.0 kg/cm2 (diesel engine).

6. Stop the engine, unscrew the pressure gauge, screw in the oil pressure switch and tighten it to 15 Nm.
