Engine stop solenoid valve
1 - solenoid valve;
2 - solenoid valve connector
When the engine is turned off, the engine stop solenoid valve shuts off the fuel supply. The device is faulty if there are no flashes in the cylinders in the engine, despite the presence of fuel.
Device check
1. When the ignition is turned on, the engine stop device should emit a characteristic click of the electromagnet. The click may not be present if the device is faulty or the device's power circuit is broken.
2. To check the power circuit, turn on the ignition and use a 12 V test light to check for voltage at the device contacts. If the light is on, the device is defective and must be replaced. If the light does not light up, the electrical circuit from the ignition switch to the device is faulty.
3. You can also check the operation by applying voltage from the positive pole of the battery to the terminal of the device with an additional wire. If the device is working, a click will be heard.
Continued driving with a faulty engine stop device
In the event that the device fails on the way, you can continue driving by doing the following:
1. Remove the power cable from the engine stop device.
2. Unscrew the engine stop device.
3. Remove the piston with the valve from the body of the device and screw the body into place with a torque of 40 Nm.
4. Starting the engine is carried out without problems, however, you can stop the engine only by completely braking the car in gear.
