2. Install the oil seal on the valve stem. In order not to damage the working edges of the oil seal cap, wrap the grooves at the end of the valve stem with adhesive tape, which must be removed after the cap is installed. Insert oil seals up to the stop using tool 21-007 (A - oil cap, B - lower spring plate).
Attention! Install only new oil seals.
3. Install the spring and spring plate on the valve, compress the spring and insert the valve cotters. Set the spring with a smaller pitch of turns to the head.
4. Install the rest of the valves in the same way and check the installation by hitting the ends of the valve stems with a soft-tipped hammer.
5. Install the camshaft with a new O-ring.
6. Lubricate hydraulic tappets with oil (preferably SAE 90 SQM 2C-9002-AA) and insert them into the slots from which they were removed.
7. Reinstall the spacer plates, valve levers, guide plates and tighten the nuts securing the valve levers. When installing levers, new nuts must be used.
Attention! When installing the valve lever, turn the camshaft to the position where the corresponding hydraulic tappet rests on the cam base circle, i.e. is in the bottom position. Only in this position is the correct setting of the lever ensured.
8. Install intake and exhaust manifolds with new gaskets.
9. Install the thermostat housing with a new gasket.
