The cable and spring must not be under tension.

Withdrawal
1. Remove ground wire from battery.
2. Remove trim panel under dashboard.
3. Remove the accelerator cable from the pedal, to do this, deflect the pedal from the floor and, after loosening the cable, remove the rubber cone, and then the cable itself from the groove in the pedal.
4. Remove the accelerator cable through the bulkhead into the engine compartment.
5. Remove air filter.
6. Remove the throttle cable by moving the spring retainer and removing the tip of the cable from the ball head on the throttle lever, and also lift the retaining spring clips with a screwdriver and remove the cable from the bracket.
7. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Adjustment
1. Press the accelerator pedal to the stop and hold it in this position.
2. Unscrew the adjusting nut on the cable to the position of the maximum opening of the damper.
