Idle speed adjustment
Adjustment
1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
2. Turn off all electrical consumers.
3. On the XR3 engine, disconnect the radiator fan temperature sensor connector and short both contacts with a jumper to turn the fan on permanently.
4. On the Turbo RS engine, remove the connector from the electro-hydraulic governor.
5. Check ignition start setting.
6. Connect a tachometer to the engine (with the ignition off).
7. Increase the engine speed to 3000 rpm and hold it for 30 seconds, and then turn the engine to idle.
8. Adjust the idle speed with the screw (1), located on the throttle body (2 - vacuum hose from the ignition distributor, 3 - air hose fitting).
