The KE-Jetronic fuel injection system is a mechanical fuel injection system which, unlike the K-Jetronic system, has an additional electronic control and, at the same time, the main mechanical system performs all the necessary functions in emergency mode when the electronic control fails.

This system uses more data for control, which comes from additional sensors. The control unit regulates the operation of the fuel dispenser through an electro-hydraulic regulator.

The electro-hydraulic pressure regulator is located in the fuel dispenser and regulates the fuel supply to the system depending on the engine operating mode. It enriches the fuel mixture during cold starts, warm-ups and accelerations, acts as an economizer at full load and provides fuel economy during engine braking at engine speeds above 1500 rpm.
