Centering the clutch disc

Before installing a new clutch drive plate, completely remove the protective grease. Thoroughly clean the spline of the gearbox input shaft and the internal splines of the driven disc, as well as the release bearing guide sleeve.

1. Lubricate the spline of the gearbox input shaft and the release bearing guide bushing with a thin, even coat of special grease FORD No. 5021439.

Attention! The lubrication layer must be thin and even, as otherwise, during clutch operation, excess lubricant will be thrown onto the clutch working surfaces and may impair clutch operation.

2. Install the drive and driven discs on the flywheel and center with a mandrel.

Attention! The flat side of the driven disc with the inscription "Fly wheel side" or "Schwungradseite" should point towards the flywheel.

3. Consistently, crosswise, tighten the clutch drive plate mounting bolts and finally tighten to the required torque.

4. Remove centering mandrel.
