Gear shift mechanism

The gearshift mechanism includes a gearshift lever, gear housing, linkage and stabilizer bar.
Removal and disassembly
1. Engage 4th gear.
2. Unscrew the handle from the gear lever and remove the cover.
3. Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.
4. Remove rear muffler from suspension.
5. Remove the return spring from the shift rod.
6. Loosen the clamp bolt at the end of the shift link and remove the link from the selector shaft by sliding it away from the gearbox.
7. Unscrew the bolt securing the stabilizer to the gearbox.
8. From the bottom of the car, unscrew the bolts securing the gear lever housing from the floor and remove the housing together with the stabilizer.
9. Unscrew the bolts securing the stabilizer to the body, disconnect the gear lever together with the cover and remove it together with the stabilizer.
10. Disconnect the shift rod from the housing.
11. Remove the retaining ring, rubber elastic element, gasket from the gear lever and remove the lever.
12. Assembly and installation of the gearshift mechanism is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Adjustment
1. Engage 4th gear.
2. Raise the vehicle and secure it on stands.
3. Using a pin with a diameter of 3.5 mm, fix the gear lever by inserting it into the hole at the bottom of the gear selector box.
4. Install, adjust if necessary and tighten the shift rod with the clamping bolt. To set the same gaps, put the axle of the gear lever in the fourth gear position and rotate it clockwise until it stops, in this position tighten the clamping bolt and remove the pin.
5. Lower the car.
