Withdrawal

Remove the negative terminal from the battery.

Remove the steering wheel.

Unscrew the screws and remove the upper and lower casings of the steering column (see fig. 10.46, 10.47).





Remove the multifunction switch from the steering column. Remove the electrical connector from the ignition switch. Disconnect the hood release cable. Remove the hood release lever from the speaker (see fig. 10.48).



Remove the clamping bolt securing the steering column to the steering gear shaft. Unscrew the lower then upper steering column nuts and remove the steering column from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
