Withdrawal. Models up to 1996




Remove the ground wire from the battery. Remove the steering wheel. Unscrew the 2 screws from the top of the back of the instrument cluster trim and remove it. releasing at the bottom of the fastening brackets (see fig. 12.50).



Unscrew the 4 screws securing the instrument cluster and remove the instrument cluster from the instrument panel. At the rear of the instrument cluster, disconnect the electrical connectors and the speedometer drive cable. If a tachometer is installed in the instrument cluster, do not lay the instrument cluster on the front side, as silicone fluid may leak out of the tachometer (see fig. 12.51, 12.52).





Models since 1996


Remove the ground wire from the battery. Unscrew 2 screws of fastening and remove the top casing of a steering column. Unscrew 4 screws of fastening and remove the lower casing of a steering column. Remove the steering wheel.


Using a lever, remove the 3 heater control knobs. Unscrew the 2 fixing screws from the upper reverse side of the instrument cluster trim. Release the instrument cluster trim from the mounting brackets using a screwdriver with a protective pad or cloth. Remove instrument cluster and disconnect electrical connectors (see fig. 12.53, 12.54).





Unscrew the 4 screws securing the instrument cluster. Pull the instrument cluster towards you and disconnect the electrical connectors and speedometer cable.

Installation


Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
