Checking idle speed and fast idle speed
With the engine warmed up to normal operating temperature, check if the thermal probe cable on the fuel pump side has a gap of 2 mm.
Start the engine, measure and record the idle speed.
Install a 4mm thick plate between the boost lever on the fuel pump and the minimum dose adjustment bolt (arrow on. rice. 2E.44). The arrow shows the place where the 4 mm thick plate should be installed.
turn the lever "STOP" clockwise until such a position that the hole in the levers (arrow on. rice. 2E.45) it was possible to insert a pin with a diameter of 3 mm.
Start the engine, measure and record the fast idle speed.
If the idle and fast idle RPMs are correct, then check the RPM reduction time from maximum (without load) to idle (the maximum time should be 5 seconds).
The number of revolutions should not decrease too much and should not come to a standstill of the engine.
If the RPMs are out of specification, they should be adjusted.
