Examination
Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Place a jack under the oil pan and use the jack to raise the engine over a block of wood until the weight of the engine is supported by the jack. Check the condition of the suspension of the power unit.
Replacement
Left front suspension
Unscrew the two suspension-to-body bolts and the two suspension-to-gearbox bolts. Remove the engine mount (see fig. 2C.66).
Left rear suspension of the power unit
Remove the air filter housing. Place a jack under the gearbox and raise the gearbox over a piece of wood until the weight of the gearbox is supported by the jack.
Unscrew the nuts and bolts securing the power unit suspension to the gearbox (see fig. 2C.67).
Unscrew the two bolts securing the power unit to the body and remove the suspension from under the brake booster.
Right suspension of the power unit
Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands.
Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. Unscrew the two upper bolts and one lower bolt of the mounting support retainer. Unscrew the top nuts securing the suspension to the body (see fig. 2C.68). Unscrew the two nuts securing the suspension to the engine support bracket (see fig. 2C.69).
Installation of suspension brackets is made in sequence, return to removal.
