Description of the front wheel suspension

Front wheel suspension (pic. 4.1) consists of McPherson columns supported at the bottom on transverse levers with ball joints (supports).



Wishbones guide the front wheels in the longitudinal and transverse directions. From above, the columns are elastically fixed in the niches of the front fenders. In some types of cars, stabilizers are installed that elastically connect the front levers and reduce body tilt using bearings with rubber bushings (pic. 4.2).
