Remove the suction muffler and the speedometer drive. Unscrew the nut securing the speedometer cable to the gearbox.
Disconnect cable from bracket (pic. 3.51).
Fully insert the rope into the sheath.
Unscrew the shell bracket from the automatic transmission housing. After that, disconnect the lever with the cable (pic. 3.52).
Pull out the rope.
The cable is installed in the reverse order.
The cable is adjusted in the following way.
Insert the cable by hand into its frame in the body. The rope must be inserted to the end of the length.
Install tool 23-019 (pic. 3.53).
Rotate the cam until the fixture locks.
Turn the cam until the damper starts to move.
In this position, the gap between the stop for adjusting the engine idle speed and the cam placed on the bracket should be 1-2 mm (pic. 3.54).
Insert the red bar to unlock the automatic adjustment devices. The tension will be completely removed from the cable and a slight knock will be heard (pic. 3.55).
Turn the cam on the cable bracket until tool 23-019 can be inserted into its hole or cable "gas" will not make it impossible to move forward.
Remove the fixture and let the cams fit freely.
The automatic adjusting device moves with an audible knock for at least 2 teeth and no more than 13 teeth (pic. 3.55).
