Assembly of a secondary shaft of a box

All parts must be washed thoroughly. Worn or damaged parts must be replaced. If necessary, the gears must be replaced in pairs (both cooperating gears).

Lubricate new parts to be installed with molybdenum disulphide MoS₂, covering the interacting surfaces of the parts with it. This also applies to synchronizers and their working surfaces.

Retaining and expanding rings should not be ground to smaller thicknesses. These rings are commercially available in five different thicknesses.

Always select a ring that is thick enough to fit snugly (but do not forget that the ring must be completely unclenched in the groove).

All parts should be installed using the instructions given.

Rolling bearings and expansion rings must be mounted, paying attention to the designations. indicating assembly directions.
