Installing the half shaft

Install the axle shaft in the wheel hub.

Insert the axle shaft with a new expansion ring into the bore of the differential crown wheel. Insert the axle shaft so deep that you can feel the expansion ring unclenching.

The axle shaft can only be inserted into the wheel bore to the depth that the weld seam allows. which must remain completely outside the hole of the crown wheel. The remaining assembly steps are performed in the reverse order to the sequence adopted during the removal of the axle shaft.
