The distinctive features of the 96-series Fiesta are without a doubt its redesigned front end with indicators integrated into the headlights and the rear end with large glass and deep-set taillights. The smoothed sidewalls of the body meet the requirements of the time: wide-opening doors of both three-door and five-door cars make it possible to make a comfortable fit for all passengers without exception. The tailgate opening upwards reaches the rear bumper.
The Fiesta's monocoque body is a versatile, all-welded design and includes crumple zones at the front and rear with a safety cell in the center of the vehicle.
Fiesta just got a little bigger (overall dimensions 3828х1634х1334 mm), but still fits into tight parking spaces. Wheel axle distance (base), equal to 2446 mm, is not a model in this class, but the driving behavior and 400 kg of payload will satisfy many car enthusiasts. There is enough space in the cabin for five people, the trunk capacity is 250 liters.
Vehicle safety
Vehicle safety has been constantly improved. The new vehicle is fitted as standard with a driver's airbag, front seat belt pretensioners and side impact protection. Optionally, the car is equipped with an airbag for the front passenger.
Structural elements of the body
The following is a description of body work that you can do on your own. The replacement of the windshield, rear window and fixed side windows of the three-door version of the Fiesta must be carried out by a service center specialist.
