Removing the front bumper

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Open a cowl and disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery. If equipped, disconnect the auxiliary fog lamp connectors.

2. Remove the grille (pic. 17.7).

3. Remove headlights.

4. Raise the front of the vehicle and place it on stands. Apply the parking brake and put blocks under the rear wheels.

5. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a sound signal (pic. 17.8).

6. Remove the screws securing the fender liner to the front bumper (pic. 17.9).

7. Disconnect a contact socket from a lamp in a wing.

8. Turn out bolts of fastening of a bumper (pic. 17.10).

9. Remove the bumper from the front of the car.

10. With an assistant, install the bumper in the grooves, both edges of the bumper should be flush with the wings.

11. Tighten the bumper mounting bolts to 25 Nm.

12. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
