Removing the door handle

The front and rear door handles are removed in the same way. The following is a description of removing the front door handle.



SEQUENCE OF WORK

On vehicles with power windows, first disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

1. Remove the door upholstery.

2. Carefully remove the waterproof film from the bottom of the door, unscrew and fix it with adhesive tape. If possible, do not touch the adhesive layer of the moisture barrier film, as its adhesive ability will deteriorate.

3. Remove the glass guide and take the glass out of the door.

4. Release the clamp and remove the door lock rod (pic. 16.29).

5. Turn out two bolts and take out the handle from a door.

6. Install the handle on the door and secure with two bolts.

7. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
