Removing the brake disc

If the brake disc needs to be replaced, both brake discs must be replaced to ensure uniform braking. When replacing the brake discs, the brake pads must also be replaced.



SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Remove the brake pads as described above.

2. Turn out bolts of fastening of a support to a rotary fist (pic. 14.21). Raise the caliper and use soft wire to tie it to the A-pillar. The caliper must not hang on the brake hose. The brake hose must not be stretched or kinked. If necessary, remove the brake hose from the shock absorber bracket.

3. Remove the brake disc retainer. Replace the rusty bracket with a new one.

4. Mark the position of the brake disc on the wheel hub.

5. Using a rubber mallet, remove the brake disc from the wheel hub.

6. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces on the wheel hub and brake disc with a wire brush.

7. Establish a brake disk on a nave of a wheel, having combined labels put before removal.

8. Install the mounting bracket on the wheel bolt.

9. Install the brake caliper on the steering knuckle and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 60 Nm.
