PRACTICAL ADVICE
Periodic replacement of incandescent lamps
Car-mounted lamps have a relatively short lifespan, as they are constantly exposed to vibrations and high temperatures from the heated coil in the small lamp bulb. Under the influence of high temperature, metal vapor from a metal spiral in conventional lamps is deposited on the inner surface of the lamp bulb, reducing its transparency. Therefore, once every two years, replace the incandescent bulbs in the outdoor lights (except for halogen lamps). Lamps that need to be replaced are identified by a slightly darkened glass envelope.
