Lubrication helps to reduce friction of parts. On hinges and assemblies with narrow passages where grease cannot penetrate, use a lubricant spray. Friction surfaces are best lubricated with oil or a lubricating spray.
Lubricate surfaces rubbing against each other with lubricating paste or silicone.
• Hinges on doors, hood and trunk lid are lubricated with a lubricant spray.
• Door locks are lubricated with universal grease.
• Latches of locks on doors, a cowl and a luggage carrier cover are processed by aerosol greasing or paste. Where the cables are visible, such as on the bonnet striker, apply a little grease and lubricate the cable by repeatedly moving the lever (grease must get under the sheath of the cable).
• In winter, lubricate lock slots and larvae with a special anti-corrosion grease. The lubricant not only protects against moisture penetration, but also has an anti-icing effect, which makes it easier to open locks in the cold. It is best to pour antifreeze into the locks in cold weather.
• The hood fixing bracket is lubricated with oil on the lower support bolt.
• Lubricate the hinge joint of the hood with oil or treat with a lubricant spray.
