Preheating of the intake air

Fiesta engines are equipped with an intake air preheater that ensures even engine operation during the cold season. The heater is controlled by intake air temperature sensor 1 (pic. 7.4), the air is heated in the hot exhaust manifold. The air-fuel mixture passing through the air mass meter results in a more uniform consistency as a result of this heating.
