SEQUENCE OF WORK
1. Check up a condition and reliability of fastening of hoses of system of cooling on a radiator and the engine, and also the hoses going to a heater radiator. A leak is easily identified by white deposits around the leak.
Pic. 6.3. Compressing the hot hose of the cooling system to detect cracks
2. Check for cracks in the hoses. If, by squeezing and bending the hoses, make sure they are stiff and brittle, replace them (pic. 6.3).
3. Check that all hoses are fully pushed onto the nozzles.
4. Check that all hoses are securely fastened with clamps. At full operating pressure in the cooling system, loose or corroded clamps may fail to hold the hose to the fitting, resulting in a loss of coolant. Damaged clamps must be replaced immediately.
