SEQUENCE OF WORK
1. Disconnect the hose from the pressure sensor and close its free end with your finger.
2. Have an assistant start the engine and keep the engine speed at 2000 rpm
-1.
3. At the same engine speed, reconnect the hose to the sensor.
4. Since a vacuum appears in the sensor, the control unit should begin to regulate the ignition timing. With the same position of the accelerator pedal, the engine speed should increase noticeably.
5. If the crankshaft speed remains unchanged, this indicates a violation of the tightness of the vacuum hose or a malfunction of the pressure sensor. This reduces engine power and increases the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases.
