Checking the engine speed sensor with a universal measuring device

To check the serviceability of the crankshaft speed sensor, measure its resistance with a universal measuring device. To ensure that the distance between the sensor and the flywheel is correct, check the mounting of the sensor before measuring.



SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. To check the sensor, disconnect the electrical connector from it.

2. Measure the resistance between both pins of the connector.

3. The meter should show resistance (200±50) Ohm.
