Periodic inspection of heating and ventilation

Check the climate in your Focus from time to time. Dust particles, street dirt, insects or falling autumn leaves can eventually clog the air ducts and the standard dust filter. Therefore, when driving on a less busy country road, proceed as follows:

• With the engine warm, open the heating regulator all the way - does hot air flow evenly?
• Completely close the heating regulator - after a few kilometers only cold air should come out of the nozzles, otherwise the air dampers do not close tightly.
• Does the up and down air distribution function?
• Does air come out of all openings evenly?
• Is the air circulation regulator functioning?
• Does the air blower work on all stages?
