Stages of work
Drive at walking speed at first. Hit the clutch and brake as hard as you can. Compare the rubber tracks on the road: if the tracks are the same length, the brakes pull the same. Do the same exercise with the handbrake.
Bring the speed up to 50 km/h. Grab the steering wheel freely and do not correct the direction of travel while braking. Brake gently at first, then abruptly to a complete stop. The car must confidently follow the direction to a stop. If the vehicle pulls to one side, you must go to a specialist workshop with a brake test stand.
Now, after this test, let your Focus roll freely from a stop on a slightly sloping stretch of road. This will determine if the wheels are free and easy to move. After a short ride, check the temperature of the rims by hand: they should be equally warm.
