Stages of work
A slightly bluish disc coloration is perfectly normal.
Note the deep grooves on the disc. They occur due to dirt, hardened or heavily worn linings. Traces up to 3 mm deep are not a cause for concern. Otherwise, dismantle the linings and remove pressed-in, possibly foreign bodies (e.g. rubble, rust particles) in the lining material.
The thickness of the discs is best measured with a caliper and two coins. Place one coin on each side of the disc between the template and the brake disc. Of course, the measured value must be reduced by the thickness of the coins.
Count and subtract: To calculate the correct value, after measuring, you need to subtract the thickness of both coins.
Discs worn to more than the minimum allowable thickness must be replaced. Notched discs you can grind (In workshop). Replace and grind brake discs always in pairs.
