Replacing the rear shock absorbers

Dismantling in 3-, 4-, 5-door models

Remove the trunk lining.

Unscrew the shock absorber top nut. To do this, lock the pressure rod with an Allen key.

Raise the vehicle securely on level ground and remove the wheels.

Unscrew the bottom fixing bolt (arrow).

Remove shock absorber downwards.

Demolition at Turnier

Remove the heat shield (arrows) in order to access the upper left bolt.



Unscrew the top bolt.



Unscrew the lower fixing bolt.

Remove shock absorber downwards.

Installation (3-, 4-, 5-door models)

Bolts and nuts of a suspension bracket finally tighten only when the car will stand on wheels.

Slide the shock absorber into the dome from below.

Loosely tighten the bottom bolt with washer.

Lower the car.

Screw in the top nut. To do this, lock the pressure rod with an Allen key.

Tighten all screw connections.

Install the trunk lining.

Installation (Turnier)

Same as described for 3-, 4- and 5-door models.

Mount the heat shield.
