Structure of switching circuits

            0

The circuit diagrams in this handbook refer to the engine electronics of the most popular Focus options. They correspond to the state of the art at the time of the information retrieval. Switching circuits of the common onboard electrical equipment could be partly ignored. The constant improvement of the Focus models also does not exclude changes in the switching circuits. Therefore, deviations from the published technical documentation are possible.

The colors of the wires in the wiring diagrams, from experience, are indicated by abbreviations. Here are the most common notations:
  • BL - blue
  • GE - yellow
  • GN - green
  • RT - red
  • VI - purple
  • BR - brown
  • GR - gray
  • RS - pink
  • SW - black
  • WS - white

Wire cross section: circuit diagrams often do not contain this data. In case of wire repair, measure its cross-section on site.

Numbering: the numbers in the frames mean electrical components; the numbers in the frames with additional letters most often indicate the plug connector.
