Fuel supply path — this is how fuel enters the injector

            0

The fuel pump delivers diesel fuel from the fuel tank through the fuel filter to the injection pump in a closed fuel system (supply and recirculation fuel lines).

Distribution injection pump VP-30: 1 - vane pump; 2 - rotation angle sensor; 3 - roller ring; 4 - pump control unit (PCU); 5 - plug connection; 6 - axial piston; 7 - high-pressure solenoid valve; 8 - pressure valve; 9 - solenoid valve for adjusting the start of injection (FITS); 10 - mechanism for changing the injection advance angle; 11 - cam disc; 12 - pulse sensor wheel.

In traditional distributor injection pumps, the fuel pump is operated by a vane pump. It is located directly in the round hole in the pump housing. Since this is a suction and delivery pump, the same pump transports the diesel fuel also to the immediate pressure area of the injection distributor pump.
