Checking spark plugs
Since petrol engines, unlike diesel engines, depend on an external source of ignition, spark plugs start the power cycle. In previous years, spark plugs were highly sensitive components that reached their wear limit no later than 12,000 km. With modern materials, unleaded gasoline and above all with the use of electronic high-performance ignition systems, this has changed dramatically. Spark plugs are still allergic to moisture after washing the engine, for example, but it's no longer surprising to have a working spark plug after 60,000 km - Ford recommends changing spark plugs after 60,000 km. Nevertheless, you should not let the spark plugs out of your sphere of attention, check them approximately every 20,000 km, the specialist already determines the condition of the engine by the appearance of the spark plug.
