Warm up the engine (operating temperature), then start at idle.
Disconnect the vacuum hose coming from the carbon filter from the solenoid valve.
Check the valve connector for vacuum. If not, check the function of the solenoid valve.
To do this, disconnect the battery (ground wire), disconnect the connector on the solenoid valve.
Disconnect the hoses from the solenoid valve, remove the valve. Pre-mark the connectors for mounting.
If you can purge the valve, then it is defective.
