Fuel filter replacement (diesel engine)

Disconnect the battery (ground wire).

Dismantle the supply filter (marked in white) and fuel drain line (marked in red).



Dismantle the fuel filter, to do this, squeeze the clip 1 and pull the fuel filter 2 up.



Remove the fuel filter from the bracket.

Installation

Fill the new filter with diesel fuel before installation.

Align the marking arrows on the bracket and housing with respect to each other.

Complete installation in reverse order.

Connect the battery and start the engine.

Check the filter element and fittings for leaks.

You must pay attention to diesel fuel and condensate

Diesel fuel has the unfortunate property of binding water condensate and forming flaky dirt particles. Therefore, you must absolutely adhere to the prescribed intervals for changing the diesel fuel filter. The previously adopted dehydration valves in modern filters, unfortunately, are somewhat out of date «out of fashion».
