Hood latch — removal and installation

Withdrawal

All cars

1. Remove the radiator air deflector.



2. Remove the grille.



3. Disconnect the hood latch electrical connector.



Vehicles with air conditioning

4. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

5. Remove the mudguard.



6. Disconnect the horn electrical connector.

CAUTION: Removing the support bracket will lower the heatsink and condenser slightly.

Remove the radiator support bracket.



8. Partially lower and secure the radiator with a suitable piece of wire.

• Attach the bottom hose.

9. Lower the car.

10. Secure the radiator with a suitable piece of wire.

• Attach the top hose.

All cars

11. Remove the hood latch.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
