Front door window glass — removal and installation

Withdrawal

All cars

1. Remove the door trim panel. See Section 501-05 for more information.

2. Remove the side impact protection reinforcement.



3. Remove the door speaker (in the presence of).



4. Disconnect the speaker connector.



5. Disconnect the door latch release lever.

CAUTION: Do not touch the surface of the adhesive as this will prevent re-adhesion.

Disconnect the seal.

• With a plastic knife (disposable) cut the butyl strip to allow the seal to be pulled back.

Vehicles equipped with power windows

7. Disconnect the opening relay "one touch" (in the presence of).



8. Dock the window control switch electrical connector.




Vehicles equipped with mechanical windows

9. Install the window regulator knob.

All cars

10. Turn out bolts of fastening of glass of a window (mechanical window shown).

• Align mounting bolts with holes.

11. Disconnect the window glass from the regulator.

• 1. Hold the window glass at the top of the window opening.
• 2. Lower the regulator.

12. Remove window glass.

• 1. Raise the glass.
• 2. Tilt the glass forward and remove the glass through the front of the door.

Installation

1. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order (mechanical window shown).
