Withdrawal
1. Remove the front seat. For more information, refer to the Front Seat chapter available in this section.
2. Remove the lower outer trim panel.
- 1. Detach the rear mounting tab.
- 2. Disconnect the lower trim panel from the upper trim panel.
- 3. Disconnect the front mounting tab.
3. Remove the top outer trim panel.
4. Remove the buckle and the seat belt tensioner.
5. Remove the bottom inner trim panel.
- 1. Detach the rear mounting tab.
- 2. Disconnect the lower trim panel from the upper trim panel.
- 3. Disconnect the front mounting tab.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the seatback recline knob, apply even pressure to opposite sides of the knob.
Remove the seat back tilt adjustment knob.
7. Remove the top inner trim panel.
8. Remove the front seat cushion. For more information, refer to the Front Seat Cushion chapter available in this section.
9. Disconnect the side airbag module electrical connector from the back of the seat (in the presence of).
- 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
- 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- 3. Disconnect the mounting clip.
10. Disconnect the side airbag module harness from the seat frame (in the presence of).
- Disconnect the mounting clips.
11. Disconnect the seat back heating mat electrical connector from the back of the seat (in the presence of).
- 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
- 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- 3. Disconnect the mounting clip.
12. Disconnect the seat back heating mat wiring harness from the seat frame (in the presence of).
- Disconnect the mounting clips.
13. Disconnect the seat back lock lever cables from the seat frame.
- 1. Disconnect the outer cable from the mounting bracket.
- 2. Disconnect the inner cable from the seat frame.

NOTE: The seat back rests on top of the seat frame on the stud bolts.
Remove the front seat back.
- 1. Turn out nuts of fastening.
- 2. Remove the seat back.
Installation
1. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
