General equipment: Brake hose clamp.
Withdrawal
1.
WARNING: If brake fluid comes into contact with the paintwork, the affected area must be washed immediately with cold water.
Loosen the wheel nuts.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.
3. Remove the wheel.
4. Disconnect the parking brake cable.
- 1.Pull back the parking brake lever.
- 2.Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever.
- 3.Remove the cable sheath clip.
- 4.Remove the cable and cable sheath.
5. Loosen the brake hose tension.
- 1.Pinch the brake hose with a clamp.
- 2. Loosen the nipple connection of the brake hose.
6. Disconnect a support.
7. Remove the brake pads.
8. Disconnect a support from a brake hose. Plug the brake hose to prevent leakage of brake fluid and ingress of dirt.
9. Remove anchor plate.
Installation
1. Install the anchor plate.
2. Connect a support to a brake hose, without tightening connection.
3.
CAUTION: If the pistons are retracted into the housing, brake fluid may be forced out of the brake master cylinder.
Using the special tool, completely retract the caliper piston.
4. Install the brake pads.
5.
NOTE: Make sure the brake shoe springs are properly positioned on the caliper.
Install the support.
6. Tighten the connection of the brake hose and caliper.
- 1. Tighten the nipple connection of the brake hose.
- 2.Remove the brake hose clamp.
7. Connect the parking brake cable.
- 1.Install the cable and cable sheath in the desired position.
- 2.Install the cable clamp.
- 3.Pull back the parking brake lever.
- 4.Connect the cable to the parking brake lever.
8. Install wheels.
9. Remove air from the brake system. See Section 206-00 for more information.
