Rear Caliper Piston Retractor 206-012 (12-006)

Withdrawal

1. Loosen wheel nuts.

2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

3. Remove the wheel.

4. Disconnect the parking brake cable.

• 1.Pull back the parking brake lever.
• 2.Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever.
• 3.Remove the cable sheath clip.
• 4.Disconnect the cable and cable sheath.

CAUTION: Secure the caliper to the side to prevent damage to the brake hose.

Disconnect the caliper.



6. Remove the brake pads.

Installation

CAUTION: If the pistons are retracted into the housing, brake fluid may be forced out of the brake master cylinder.

Using the special tool, fully push the caliper piston inward.



2. Install the brake pads.

NOTE: Make sure the brake shoe springs are properly positioned on the caliper.

Install the support.



4. Connect the parking brake cable.

• 1.Install the cable and cable sheath in the required position.
• 2.Install the cable clamp.
• 3.Pull back the parking brake lever.
• 4.Connect the cable to the parking brake lever.

5. Install the wheels.
