WARNING: Brake fluid contains polyglycol ethers and polyglycol. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling brake fluid. If brake fluid gets into your eyes, rinse your eyes for 15 minutes with cold running water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. If brake fluid is swallowed, drink water and induce vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
WARNING: If brake fluid comes into contact with paintwork, immediately wash the affected area with cold water.
NOTE: Make sure the vehicle is on a level, level surface.
NOTE: The system consists of separate circuits for each front and diagonally opposite rear wheel. Air removal can be carried out from each circuit separately.
2.
CAUTION: The brake fluid reservoir must remain filled with new, clean brake fluid throughout the bleeding procedure.
Install the bleed line to the bleed nipple. 3. Immerse the end of the bleed line in a suitable container containing a small amount of the prescribed brake fluid.
4. To maintain brake fluid pressure and prevent air leakage through the threads of the bleed nipple, the bottom of the bleed container must be at least 300mm above the bleed nipple.
5. Loosen the bleed nipple half a turn.
6. Fully depress the brake pedal (displacing brake fluid and air into a bleeder container) and allow the brake pedal to return to its original position.
7. Fill the hydraulic brake reservoir.
8. Continue to press a brake pedal until the liquid which is not containing air goes to a container for removal of air.
9. With the brake pedal fully depressed, tighten the air removal nipple.
10.
CAUTION: After bleeding the brake lines, make sure the cap is on the bleed valve. This will prevent corrosion of the bleed nipple. Failure to follow this instruction may cause the bleed nipple to stick.
Repeat this procedure for the rest of the brake lines.
